The HT-44 was the last of the Ham band stand alone transmitter/exciters to come off the Hallicrafters production line. It covers 80 through 10 meters. Features include vox, cw break-in keying, PTT, AALC and front panel control of slave or independent transmitter functions. It uses a separate power supply, the model PS-150-120. When paired with the SX-117 the internal speaker of the PS-150-120 is used. Other companion units are the HT45 linear amp and the HA-8 SPLATTER GUARD modulation monitor. The HT-44 is the best designed, easiest to operate, easiest to work on and overall most reliable of all the stand alone HF exciter/transmitters Hallicrafters produced .
